HELP FUND THIS FILM AND RAISE AWARENESS OF THIS TERRIBLE DISEASE
This short film will be important, not only as a work of art but also as a way of raising awareness about the impact of dementia on the family and carers supporting a person living with the condition. There are more than 413,000 Australians living with dementia. Without a medical breakthrough, that number is expected to increase to almost 1.1 million by 2055. In the United Kingdom, there are 850,000 people with dementia, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. This will soar to 2 million by 2051. 225,000 will develop dementia this year, that's one every three minutes. 1 in 6 people over the age of 80 have dementia. These figures are mirrored around the world.
